What should be assessed before under-eye fat repositioning?+
Fat removal and repositioning suit patients with good elasticity, bulging eye bags, and tear-trough hollows, and can improve dark circles. The degree of fat protrusion and skin laxity must be assessed. If pigmentation is present, additional brightening laser treatment may be needed after surgery.
Will under-eye fat repositioning make the aegyo-sal disappear?+
The aegyo-sal is formed by a natural prominence of the eye muscle and is not disturbed during surgery. As under-eye fat is adjusted and the skin reattaches, it may look smoother and more defined.
Can the procedure be scarless?+
Because the approximately 1 cm incision is made in the conjunctiva inside the lower eyelid, there is essentially no visible scar and no suture removal is required.
