Post-treatment precautions
Redness and swelling usually settle within 1-3 days. If they do not improve, contact the clinic and return for assessment.
Eat foods rich in vitamin C after treatment.
Crusts usually shed or lighten on their own within 2-3 days.
Hydrate, moisturize and protect from UV with SPF 30 or higher.
Apply the clinic-provided ointment to the treated area for 1-2 days.
For 3-7 days, avoid hot-water face washing and bathing, alcohol, saunas, swimming and exercise.
Avoid irritating cleansers and exfoliating products during the treatment period.
Pigmented areas may temporarily look darker; this is a normal response after laser treatment.
